Haven't seen the new (Jan 1) rates for packages yet but I certainly hope that the news isn't as bad as for first class mail.

New rates to US: $0.60, up 9%

New international rates: $1.05, up 10.5%

Any one seen small packet or parcel post yet?

Bill

Not yet Bill, but I am seeing longer waits at the post office now due to the new rules that require the clerks to measure every package. I think it's time to bring back the Pony Express. Remember the 'good old days', when mail was cheap and they delivered it on Saturdays! [I think there may be an idea in here for another Kevin Costner movie ...]

If anyone gets a copy of the new rates, can you let us know please (and thanks) ...

Rob

I went to the Post Office today and I was able to get my hand on the new January 2001 postal Prices leaflet (T455161). This confirms the above rates. I thought that this would be a good time to bring this thread back up.

Why not open canada post account it's free to open and cost very little ...you can have them come every other day for $15.00 to your home or office and $30 every day...saves a lot of time...and know line ups
