Hi all - I noticed a fair amount of "I'll pass" comments on the other thread about the Free Listing Day. Anyone planning to do it? I find myself unexpectedly hesitating. I was very pleased with the goto promotion and in fact I now list all my auctions via goto.com. The Auction Manager has one feature that I like better than goto, so I'll be deciding between the two from now on.

My real indecision stems from the [non]action on ebay right now. Aside from my BIN sales, I have been getting single or no bids on a lot of stuff. I ask myself if it's worth the "risk" of selling at the starting bid vs keeping the books on half.com or Amazon indefinitely, where I get good prices IF they sell.

On the other hand, ebay being so iffy, it seems like this is the ideal time to list using a free listing day, since it reduces my risk of paying fees for items that don't end up selling.

I think I'll start out by pulling books that have been on half.com for a long time. They can have their day in the ebay sun, and if they still don't sell, it's off to the library donation bin.

Just curious how others felt about the promotion [aside from the ExchangePath issues].

Yes, I plan on taking advantage of the AMPro/ExchangePath free listing day on EBAY.

I find AMPro to be very cumbersome, with button clicks all over the place, both within the computer and then at the AW website. I tried a number of test postings to Yahoo!Auctions and for some reason AMPro overides my enabled Yahoo!Paydirect. Ugh! GoTo.com's approach is much more effecient.

So AMPro will be used only for free listing days. Perhaps a later version will offer a complete auction package.

I had signed up with ExchangePath some weeks ago, so that is not an issue with me, although there are some troubling issues with ExchangePath with regard to their verification, if any, of their accountholders.
