I reported a user to Safe Harbour who retracted a bid 'becuase I found it somewhere else cheaper'. I am sick and tired of people that do that.
Low and behold, I get an email from Safe Harbour stating that he has been suspended becuase of his retractions.

Good for you cambercat! Yayy! One less frivolous bid retractor to worry about. That is the first time I've ever heard of one actually getting booted.

Whaaaatt!!! 33 retractions before getting the boot? I had no idea eBay would put up with such a multitude of sins from anyone. Of course, retractions are not like failures to pay but it seems like a lot to me. What do you think - was it the number of retractions by the one bidder or the number of complaints about him from sellers? In other words, just what does it take for eBay to get it in gear? Being a newbie, I'll be interested to hear what you veterans have to say. Thank you.

bjstrokes, you have to report someone for having a pattern of bid retractions. They then get a warning from eBay if eBay thinks the bidder deserves it. If eBay keeps getting complaints about a certain bidder, they say they will boot them. I guess they really do!
