I encountered a seller who has stolen from over 30 buyers through both E-Bay and Yahoo. He takes payment and then never ships the item. I have filed complaints with several on-line fraud services but have never heard back from them. I contacted E-Bay, Yahoo and PayPal (I paid him through PayPal) but his accounts all remain active and they will not get involved. The amount he stole from me was only $8.00, but if you add up the total amount he has stolen from buyers it is almost $500. I seem to remember reading on these message boards about being able to file a complaint with the DA. How do I go about that though? I would file it with the DA in his town right? How do I locate them? I would appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thanks!

If you call the information line and ask for the chamber of commerce in that city, they will give you the numbers you need. I live in central Ohio and we had a case finish here just last month. Two teens and their mother sold over $25,000 worth of beanies and sports cards when they had none. They found them guilty of selling $16,000 worth of them fraudulently (not spelled right!).
When they first arrested them, mom said she had no knowledge of any of it. Yeh, right!

Thanks! I just can't believe that E-Bay, Yahoo and PayPal just aren't concerned at all. All I get is canned responses!
I went back to E-Bay just a few minutes ago and all of a sudden this guy has 7 positive feedbacks on his latest account. The auctions started, ended (with Buy It Now), and had their feedback left all in one day! All new user IDs! I can't believe the nerve of this guy, but they keep letting him get away with it!
