I like the earlier "wierdest thing you sold thread", so how about this...the most expensive or biggest thing you've ever sold on ebay or any auction service?
Me - a friend's Porsche Targa 911!! Sold it over the summer. Deal went surprizingly well too.
How about you?

gettbent, how much did the Porsche Targa 911 sell for.

My biggest sale was a small magic marker drawing done and signed by Andy Warhol. It sold for around $1500.00. Ebay got a big FVF on that one.

P.S. gettbent, I noticed that you had put a url to a site in your post and you have *'s inside of the brackets, i.e. [*url}. In order for this to be a clickable link you have to remove the *'s. I didn't know if you had realized that or not so I just thought i'd pass that along to you for future reference.

Porsche went for $11,900 I made 500 bucks (thats what my friend insisited on paying me)
At that rate, I figured that if I could sell 2 or 3 porsches a week, I could retire!!
But then again if I could do that then I might as well open a dealership!

++Thank you yellowstone for the ubb tip!

Mine was a 1963 guitar (Fender Strat for you players out there). I bought it for 1100 about 5 years ago and sold it for 3551.00. THAT was what got me hooked on ebay, my very first sale! Since then I'm lucky if I make 5 bucks on a sale.
[ edited by Bassicbrian on Dec 5, 2000 06:00 AM ]edited to figure out how to do the faces! I think I got it now!

I bought a DSS box about 5 years ago, paid 100 dollars for it. Turned around and sold just the DSS card in it for 320 dollars. Not bad for just a card. Then sold the box to.Not as much as you guys, but a nice profit.

A roystermule is a Roy that is as stubborn as a mule. I.E. an add on to a name that was taken.

A good friend of mine had a smile-worthy sale this morning. Having no idea they were worth anything, she listed a pair of blue Breyer horses with the opening bid of $9.99. They ended at $1,055!! She was stunned! Talk about doing a happy dance
