I sold a porcelain doll, and the person that bought it told me that the doll came broken. I didn't put insurance on this doll. I packed it really really well, I mean I used 3 times the bubble wrap it probably needed. This doll was from 1984, and he said that it smelled of cigarette smoke, and the clothes were faded. I had this doll in my house for 16 yrs! Yes people sometimes smoke in my house, but the clothes being faded, I don't know, cause it is 16 yrs old, and was never in direct sunlight, but age could have done this too. I don't know what to do. I have all sales final on my auctions. Shoot, I don't know what to do. Please help me decide please? Should I refund his money? I honestly believe the doll wasn't broken. I need help. This is his first experience with ebay, and I don't want to make it a bad one for him, but also I don't really want to refund him either, cause I know the doll was in good shape.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Kellyrj32 - I am in a hurry and sure that someone will hop in to explain that this buyer needs to show you the doll is broken either by returning or sending a pic, before you even consider refunding, blah blah blah.
Frankly, it sounds squirrely to me.
Is the doll broken or does it smell or is it faded?
Which is it anyway?
See what I mean?
Mostly I just wanted to post to say that 0 feedback does not necessarily indicate a NEWBIE by a shot.
"50/50 the guy is lying" is generous.
That's how it sounds to me.
