Got this heartfelt email today: (The names were changed to protect the guilty.)

*******************************

THIS E-MAIL IS TO SADLY INFORM YOU THAT "XXXXXXX" WILL NOT BE UNABLE TO PAY FOR THE ITEM(S) HE WON FROM YOU ON E-BAY. UNFORTUNATELY, "XXXXXXX" WAS LEFT PARTIALLY HANDICAPPED WITH MYOFACIAL PAIN DISORDER AND POSTROMATIC SYNDROME DUE TO 2 MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS. SINCE HE IS UNABLE TO WORK ANYMORE, HE WILL TRY TO CONCENTRATE ON TAKING CARE OF HIS HEALTH AND HIS FAMILY(4) EVEN THOUGH IT IS IN A VERY LIMITED WAY (PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY). WE KNOW THAT IT MIGHT NOT MAKE THIS "NON PAYMENT" PLEASING TO YOU AND WE APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE IT MAY HAVE GIVEN YOU.

THANK YOU!

'XXXXXXX' FAMILY

"XXXXXXX"@emailaddy.com

*******************************

Out of a morbid sense of curiosity I did a search to see if the user was still bidding. He bid on over 750 auctions in the past month, and has a current feedback rating of -7.

"Myofacial pain disorder" my *ss!

Precisely. I've got a version of myofascial pain disorder, am supposed to be fully disabled with it, and it does NOT come on overnight, even with TWO car accidents (I suspect the same of PTSD). Utter BS, but I've got to say one of the most hilarious doses of it I've seen in a long time, particularly as he's still bidding. (And jeez, if they're going to use medical dx, the least they could do is try to spell 'em right.)

Any thoughts yet as to what you'll leave as FB?

Let's see, myofascial pain disorder and post-traumatic stress syndrome. HCQ, has it correct, neither of these pop up over night.

Kinda odd though. It only affects this persons ability to pay, not their ability to bid. Sounds more like compulsive buying to me. I wonder how many other sellers have received this little note. I would definitely turn this one in as a NPB, handicap or no.

oh puuulease I have PTSD and you don't see it stopping ME from paying for my auctions! Of course it's my OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) that keeps me bidding in the first place I suspect this person is suffering from DBBD (Dead Beat Bidder Disorder)

OHHH I feel PTSD symptoms coming on oh i must leave this page right now i cannot go on...
Rocker PS: only kiddin about the OCD but yes I do have PTSD

Hi, all. Yes, Compulsive Deadbeat Bidder Disorder is about right! By the time I got the email, the bidder was already NARU. Their total feedback rating was seven negs for non-payment vs. no positives. They were bidding on jewelry.
