I just checked my Paypal account and noticed something quite odd.
It seems that Paypal has changed their site today and I for one DO NOT LIKE IT ALL !!!!
They are hiding their fees !!!!!!!!!
You used to could check your transaction history and you would see how much someone sent you, how much Paypal takes in their transaction fees, and what your net total is.
THE FEES ARE HIDDEN NOW !!!!!!!!
If you have a Paypal account I suggest you email them and let them know this is BULL !!!!
Why are they hiding how much they charge you ???
I for one want to see exactly what I am paying. This tactic of hiding fees charged to me is not sitting to well with me and I am sure others who check their accounts today will be pretty upset to.
Have a look at your Paypal account and lets see what you think.

hi cix, i just signed into my account and the fee amount still shows up in the payment details page, if you click on the 'Completed' lin for that transaction it should pull up the details screen. Check it out and see if the fee details are there for your account too.

Just went to my account and clicked on my last payment, made about two weeks ago. In the details, I saw the fee. Okay, it's not right up there on the opening screen but it is there.

The fees are listed you just have to click on the transaction to see the details of the transaction. I for one like the new site. If you don't, cancel your account and move on.

If you click on each and every transaction yes, it is there.
But it was on the entire page before and was very clear as to how much they charged.
This tactic is just a way for Paypal to make it more difficult to see their fees and I do not like it one bit.

Did anyone happen to check the policy update link? PayPal has changed their credit card limit policy on Personal accounts. It is now $100 monthly instead of $500 in six months.

Just checked my PayPal and fees don't show up on "home" page. If you go to the history section then click on the "completed" button next to a payment and scroll down, you will see the fee charged by PayPal. Pain in neck, was definitely more convenient the other way, however, at least it's still there.

It is impossible for me to understand why anyone who uses eBay would be at all upset by a minor change at PayPal. eBay is the king of changes, rules, pages, style, etc., etc., and all the boo hooing in the world has no effect on eBay.......and I would suspect that all the complaints on this board will have about as much effect on PayPal.
So, they don't show you the charges - your credit card company doesn't show you % of cost of each charge either - only a total....if you have a computer you can figure out the individual charges yourself.
This is rather ridiculous - just more wag the dog.
This board seems to need a good dose of Zoloft

No Meya, you are not alone. I find it every bit as annoying here on AW, as I do on an auction.

PayPal not only is hidding their fees but it also raised them:
OLD FEES FOR BUSINESS AND PREMIER ACCOUNTS
(Transactions over $15.00)
$0.25 + 1.9%
NEW FEES FOR BUSINESS AND PREMIER ACCOUNTS
(Transactions over $15.00)
$0.30 + 2.2%
The fees are now buried in the bowels of the site go here to check them:

Sure they raised their fees -- they no longer have X.com bank account money to earn float on....
They hid the fees so you wouldn't notice they RAISED them TOO.
The Truth is out there, and it hurts to look...

I was mildly annoyed by the change in the "My Account" page, but I am up in arms over their move to make the verifying bank account the default source of payment without expressly asking if that's what the user wants to do. The source of funding is pretty well hidden on the last page, so one doesn't notice that his bank account is being debited until after the money is sent and a "Bank withdrawal" shows up on the "My Account" page. I won't be using PP to make payments that are more than my PP account balance anymore, and that's not much.
