I was going to a site, but in my haste, I mistyped a letter and instead, I found myself at an ebay auction for a domain name!!
The domain name up for auction is one letter different than what I was intending to type.
Is this move legal, or am i just blowing wind?

Sounds like the domain you accidentally typed is for sale and the owners have put auto-forwarding to bring potential bidders to the auction. A good idea, if you ask me.
