I SAID IT BEFORE, BE SMART, USE YOUR COMMON SENSE, THEY ARE WORKING HERE UNDERCOVER AND ARE UNDER THEIR PAYROLL, THEIR WORK IS TO MISLEAD YOU, TO CONFUSE YOU, TO SCARE YOU, TO MAKE YOU BELIEVE THAT NOBODY CAN AGAINST THEM, IF YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE WRONG, PLEASE eSELLERS BE SMART.
NO COMPANY IN THE WORLD CAN CALL ANOTHER COMPANY YOU ARE A FRAUD UNLESS THEY ARE COMPLETELY SURE (legally) AND FROM ONE DAY TO ANOTHER DAY IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. NOW, IF PAYPAL IS SO CONCERNED AND ALREADY DISCOVERED THAT THEY ARE A FRAUD WHAT ARE DOING TO INFORM US? DID THEY POST SOMETHING IN THEIR SITE? DID THEY EMAIL THEIR MEMBERS? WELL, THEY DIDN'T... WHY? BECAUSE THEY ARE CONSIDERING ALL ASPECTS EVEN IF THEY CAN PARTNER THIS COMPANY.
eSELLERS ARE EXACTLY WHERE THEY WANT TO BE, PLEASE BE ALERT THEY ARE MORE THAN 3 WORKING THE ENTIRE DAY, TRYING TO CONFUSE YOU, THAT'S THEIR JOB, THEIR JOB WILL SAVE THE 10 THOUSAND POUNDS GORILLA MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN LAWSUITS, AND OF COURSE THE POSSIBILITY OF GROWING UP SO RAPIDLY, LIKE THEY ARE NOW.
WHEN YOU WANT TO FILE A LAWSUIT AGAINST A BUSINESS OR AGAINST ANYONE YOU WILL ALWAYS SEEK FOR ADVICE FIRST, ONCE YOU LEARN ALL THE PROS AND CONS, THEN WILL SEEK FOR A LAWYER, THAT'S WHEN YOU ALREADY KNOW ENOUGH, AND WHEN YOU ARE READY TO TAKE ACTION.
WELL THESE FRUSTRATE PEOPLE (mostly eSellers) COME HERE FOR ADVICE BEFORE TAKING ANY ACTION, BUT HERE YOU ALWAYS FIND ONE THAT WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU DON'T HAVE A CASE, THAT YOU CAN NOT WIN, ALSO WILL TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE AND YOU ARE NOT, SUDDENLY A COUPLE MEMBER APPEARS AND CONFIRM ALL THAT, THEY EVEN SAY THEY ALREADY CONSULTED LAWYERS ETC. ETC. ETC. BY THE TIME YOUR THREAT ENDS YOU WILL BE SO CONVINCED THAT YOU WON'T EVER WIN AGAINST THEM IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. BE SMART, OF COURSE YOU CAN WIN, AND MANY PEOPLE DID, BUT THEY WILL ONLY POST THE ONES WHO DIDN'T, AND THEY WILL BRING THEIR CASES OVER AND OVER TO MAKE YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU BE ONE MORE IN THEIR STATISTIC, SURE, I BELIEVE YOU.
THEY ARE ALL OVER THIS PLACE, AND TO CONFUSE YOU THEY WILL POST ALL KINDS OF COMMENTS SO YOU THINK THAT THEY ARE NOT eAGENTS, THESE AGENTS ARE HERE FOR A WHILE, AND THEY ALREADY HAVE SAVED EGAY HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN LAWSUITS, I WOULD SAY MILLIONS, ALSO A BAD REPUTATION.
THEY ARE NOT HERE TO LISTEN YOUR COMMENTS OR TO HELP THEIR MEMBERS, THEY ARE HERE TO MISLEAD YOU AND CONFUSE YOU, BECAUSE IF THEY DON'T DO THAT, YOU DEFINITELY REPRESENT A TREAT FOR THEIR ACTIVITIES, AND BELIEVE ME, THEY KNOW THAT VERY WELL, AND YOU HAVE MORE POWER THAT YOU EVEN THINK, BUT THEY ALREADY MAKE YOU/US BELIEVE THAT WE ARE JUST A POOR ANTS AGAINST A GORILLA OF 10 THOUSAND POUNDS. DON'T BELIEVE THAT.
THESE AGENTS ARE EASY TO DETECT, THEY KNOW TOOOOOOOOO MUCH ABOUT EGAY (legal stuff). ALSO THEY USUALLY TELLS HORRIBLE STORIES ABOUT THEIR COMPETITORS, PLEASE USE YOUR COMMON SENSE, ALSO TRY TO QUESTION THESE INDIVIDUALS AND WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT EGAY.

Just my observations here at Auction Blotch message boards.
There are a handful of people who post here who never have anything positive to say. They always hate Paypal or Ebay or someone else. They always seem bent on discouraging people from going forward with anything. They are always trying to scare people about selling in particular, trying to make it sound really hard and frightening.
I wonder if these people are sellers who are trying to cut down the competition by scaring off new people who come here looking for advice. Everything is always a scam to hear them tell it. Your gonna get ripped off by Paypal and Ebay and everyone else on the web if you sell on online auctions.
If I were looking for serious advice, I wouldn't look here to find it.

'Scuse my French, but what the hell was that all about???
Freddy57: At the risk of sounding sarcastic(but I'm not trying to be sarcastic), if you feel that way about AW and/or other auction discussion chats, then why are you here?

Pocono..do you know a good cleaning lady who will come in and clean up the "mess" that was dumped a little further up?
posted on December 7, 2000 09:43:52 AM newFreddy57 Okay, here is something positive:
I have been watching the stock that I want to sell when it reaches a certain point plummet like a rock in a very deep deep ocean over the past week (ever since I put in a limited sell order for a couple thousand shares) and today it is back up 2 5/8 at the moment. I feel more positive. Now if it will just go up the other 4 1/8 so it will sell at a decent price, I will be ecstatic! How about some positive thoughts there, huh?

Poton posted just yesterday (in upper and lower case):
You guys are extremely paranoid about scams, frauds and everything that involves illegalities, if all the time you are going to think that way, I think for your own security and protection you should stay Offline, otherwise you are in the wrong business.

Maybe too much fire and brimstone but it
looks like Poton is making the observation that the big fish eat the
little fish.
His idea that PayPal may be thinking about acquiring AuxPal is
interesting. That idea may have some basis. Just think of Paypal's
past behavior and right now, the failure of PayPal to address the
possibility that they may be linked somehow with AuxPal.
Not applying for the cleaning lady job...
just trying to understand.
Freddy57 I'm here for a long time and neither understand why the negativism, all time they are talking about scams, frauds, etc. I have 3 years on eBay and I never was scam, probably because I'm the seller, and sellers are basically/literally the ones who can scam their buyers. I don't really understand why these people use that word so frequently, almost daily, they even talk about their paypal account being frozen, eBays IDs suspended, and everything that involves fraud. That's really strange and weird I will try to figure out what's going on here, why the word scam and fraud is a common language here.

Here is the only clue anyone needs - and it came from the ISP I originally signed on with.
If someone has to ask for your password then they obviously are not part of that organization. Simply click on back and they are out of your life.
I, too, was initially very excited about the new site - until I read they needed you password. End of interest for me!
Please don't knock this discussion board. I have found it extremely helpful and informative.
OK, so there might be spies out there - maybe they are everywhere. Geez, my neighbor thinks that the word "monitor" on the TV is how "they" watch him. But then, he also believes my friends are models at QVC - that one models lawn furniture. LOL!
Sure, there are problems with eBay. BUT what is your alternative? Ever sold at a real life auction? Held a garage sale at your home? Where else can you sell all that "stuff" that has been piling up for years - AND make some money with it?
Please lighten up and use common sense here. This is the internet. Keep it fun.

An excellent reminder! Thank you!
Happy Holidays to you as well! (I wonder if they would consider making a santa smilie for the season?)

Exactly keep it fun and POSITIVE.
If you don't like something or a web site, just don't participate on it and everybody happy, but I think we don't have to bring it down with our speculations, but I bet that almost everybody is pendent of this auxpal site, it's proved that everything is ok, everybody (almost) will jump in, without thinking twice. By the way I though a big percent have already closed their PayPal accounts because they also hate PayPal, if this site partners with PayPal are you going to reopen your paypal account? ...No? ...Of course I believe you.
Money talks, the site is ready, all PayPal has to do is give their name, create a new logo under .gif format "I can help with that" then get a big percentage of the revenues (hundreds of millions of dollars), that's all they have to do, and I bet you the PayPal CEO right at this moment is with their management team discussing this idea. But whatever is their decision it seems that this auxpal will do everything to stay in bidness, after all they know very well what they are doing, so with the permission of PayPal or not they will try to do what they have in mind. Napster did it for years, without the permission of anybody, and what they did was basically a direct copyright infringement, so paypal better consider this, before they run without their permission.
Auxpal is a legitimate idea, but we don't want users to give their password to another site. We have been talking to the organization and hopefully some good will come out of it.
Again, for security purposes, never give your password to another party.
