If some of you folks have seen that Mail Boxes Etc. commercial with the banged up packages, how do you feel about the comment at the end as MBE as "the Preferred Choice of Packing by eBay Sellers?" (or whatever they said; it went by quickly!)

I was sent a survey about them from eBay - basically I said they have to be cheap. I am sure they did not want to hear that. They are for the clueless that can not do anything real like pack a box without having someone hold thier hand.

And, I wonder if you folks saw the "Subliminal" message in the commercial, that we maybe a bunch of careless shippers??
Not one that exactly speaks for all of us.

What I do not like is the message they are sending to buyers. "Buy on ebay and get preferred shipping prices from MBE".
Buyers who 'buy' into this are going to be disappointed. First of all as a seller I do not use and will not use MBE. Secondly the prices are higher irregardless if you sell on ebay or not.
Look at the system you use and see if using MBE provides any value to you or your customer. It does not.
Misleading too in that it appears as though they are showing you that they will ship it better - yet they do not do the shipping. MBE shipments are all handled by UPS.
There are several posters on the ebay packaging and shipping board that continue to want people to use MBE's and say their prices are competitive and we should pay for their loading and boxes. HELLLO - why - so a minimum wage high school girl can pack without your control - who knows how it will go out. Boxes for priority are free.
Nothing they have to offer adds any value to our business and I do not like the commercial.
