How does one raise their Credit Spending limit at Paypal? I am a Verified Premier account holder now.
(my bank account has been approved and I upgraded to a Premier Account)
It says I have under $100.00 credit limit to spend with credit card. ( I have plenty room on my credit card, but Paypal has a limit )
I thought once I upgraded that I would not have a credit limit anymore
Can someone help me understand why it is still telling me that if I want to use my credit card to pay for something, that I only have less than a $100.00 to spend with credit card?
If you have verified the limit would be 1000.00 over a six-month period (unless the payment is to a Premier or Business account). I don't have your account information, but I can view it if you send me the email address to [email protected].
Every user who adds a credit card to his account is allowed to charge up to $250 on that credit card. After confirming a bank account, the charge limit for your credit card will then be increased to $1,000 per 6-month period, subject to credit availability from your credit card company.
Note: There is no Credit Card Charge Limit for payment sent to a Premier or Business Account. You can use your credit card to pay for all of your business transactions without limitation after you confirm a bank account

I have had my paypal account since March or May of 2000. At that time I was given a $1500.00 (I think that was the top dollar amount) CC spending limit.
I sell and buy on Ebay, and I never updated account to premier (until 2 days ago) or verified my bank account (I did this last week)
My $1500.00 Credit card spending limit is now down to about $69.00 (due to me buying many things on Ebay)
I thought my CC spending limit would be lifted once I verified my bank account (deposits by Paypal have been made and I have verified it) and I just went up to a Premier Account Status because my CC spending limit did not increase after verifying my Bank Account. Now since I went to a Premier Status, it still has not increased.
Please explain why it did not increase? ( I have plenty of credit on CC account, so this would not be the reason why it has not increased)

RE... The $1500.00 credit limit Paypal gave me has been used up since I started my account. In other words I have spent the 1500.00 over the last 6 to 8 months.

That limit applies to payments made to personal account holders using a credit card. If you pay a business or premier account your limit would not be impacted and I am going to guess (since I can't look at your records) that you have paid (primarily) personal accounts.
Verification allows you to lift the limit from 250.00 (the limit set to reduce the possibility of fraud and the amount of monetary damage that could occur) to the 1000.00 over six months to personal accounts.
