What is a resonable time to expect merchandise? I am only a buyer. Some things have come when expected...others? I don't know what is a good time to wait before I e-mail the seller. Thanks

It all; depends if item went UPS or Priority Mail. UPS, often 6 business days, depending how far it is coming from, and NO week-end deliveries. Priority, normally 2 to 3 days, and delivers Saturdays....However, with the Holidays, I already see a delay...Mailed parcel from Cal on Dec 11...still has not arrive in Pa...

Sent forty or so small packages out over the past four weeks. First Class mail was taking up to 10 days, and one package never arrived. The packages I sent by USPS Priority averaged 4 days, with one taking 7.
Purchased a book from a San Fransisco seller who sent it book rate. It arrived here in the mid-south exactly one week later. I contacted him and congratulated him on it. He replied that the Post Office once took 30 days to deliver a book to his buyer. Odd thing was that it was only two miles away from his shop.

Check with your seller... If you paid by snail mail with a check does your seller hold items until your check clears their account? Most seller that hold items because you sent a personal check and will hold your item for 10 business day after depositing your check. In a case of this, then you should give your item at least 3 weeks before it is delivered... (2 to 4 days for your seller to get your check and deposit it) Then 10 business days for the check to clear and the another 2 to 4 days, depending what shipping service was used for it to get to you.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "when expected". On what do you base your "expectation"? Information in seller's TOS or EOA? Or some formula you've worked out on your own?
Sorry, but after reading chenillec's gripe and this one, I am a bit tired of bidders effectively putting words in sellers' mouths.
Please, folks, if seller doesn't tell you something you NEED to know, PLEASE ASK before you get your shorts in a knot!
