I'm a novice and don't have any idea what's causing this Internet Explorer Script Error message to come up on every page I try while on eBay. It's been going on for 2 days and when I click the little ? box at the top of the message it doesn't do anything...just hangs in limbo. It says An error has occurred in the script on this page. Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? With a yes or no box to click. Doesn't seem to matter which box is clicked but that's the only way I can get a page to open up.
Is anyone else getting this? What to do? If you have any suggestions for me I'm afraid I have to admit the language will have to be simple. I'm just an intimidated beginner. THANKS.

I am having the same problems. Maybe a Rep will give us a clue why this continues to happen. Thanks.

Try deleting your temp internet files. It worked for me this time. Or try deleting your temp internet files AND your cookies. Last week I was having the same problem and it wouldn't go away until I deleted both.

Hello romantiques. The script error may have something to do with the java script web bugs that are embedded in eBay's pages. If you are using Internet Explorer try clicking on TOOLS at the top of your screen in your browser toolbar and then click on INTERNET OPTIONS. Go to the SECURITY tab and then click on the CUSTOM LEVEL button and disable all three of your SCRIPTING options located towards the bottom of the screen and also disable USER DATA PERSISTENCE. I recommend disabling the Microsoft VM (Java machine) as well.
Then click on the ADVANCED tab and put a check next to DISABLE SCRIPT DEBUGGING and scroll down to the MICROSOFT VM and make sure none of the options are checked.
I hope this will correct your problem.

Thanks bhearsch - I'm not having this problem but my son is. I didn't know what to tell him. I'll give him this info. (He'll think I'm so smart)

I had the same problem and this is the instructions from AOL for clearing the cache on internet explorer.
1.Click on start, select programs, select Anerica online, then click on AOL SYSTEM INFORMATION.
2.Click on the utilities tab.
a.click on Clear Browser cache, keep clicking untill the current cache size reads 0KB.
b.click on Uninstall AOL Adapter.
3.Click on yes when prompted to restart windows.
This worked for me and now I do it every few days to keep it clear.

What is the AOL adapter, and why would you want to uninstall it?

I don't know anything about AOL but I did a quick search for "AOL Adapter" and found the following site. Apparently, if you delete the adapter it will rebuild itself. http://members.aol.com/luvjanet/adapter.html

I don't know what AOL adapter is either, but when I do this and restart my computer it automaticly rebuilds it.
These instructions were given to me from AOL. I do it in the morning before I go online about every 3 or 4 days.
