I'm sure ebay will have a free listing day very shortly. In the past 3 years they've had one around Christmas/New Year's every year.

Well, their listings are down, they'd best start considering it. Personally, I know many sellers, like myself, just sign off this time of year on purpose - to many weird people, too much impatience - not worth the hassle.
I wouldn't mind a free day, even I'd post if it were for free - just as long as my buyers understand no Christmas shipping.

Thanks for the word..I would love a day around the 21st..could do a 7 day auction and not interfere with Xmas or New Year's.
A free listing day helps keep costs down..

My guess is for Wednesday the 20th; this allows for the customary 7-day auction to end two days after Christmas, when people should be back to work and keeps the site full of good stuff over the holiday.
I think the 21st is too close to the long weekend which is coming up--too many people will be taking off on Friday if not on Thursday already.

Oh yeah--they never announce the free listing day until shortly before it commences--so keep an eye out on the eBay announcement board (although I'm sure notice will appear here shortly thereafter); usually the announcement comes in the evening before FLD.
