Hello everyone!
I sold an item for $3.26. The high bidder never paid. She said that she was sending the $,but 3 weeks later it had not arrived. I emailed her again and she said that she forgot and would send it out right away. I figured, hey, things happen, we get busy. No big deal. So I told her ok. But I did file a NPB at ebay, just as a gentle reminder to pay. Yet another 2 weeks later........still no $. I contacted her again, and she said that she forgot again. We're looking at 5 weeks after auction end now.
So should I go for the FVF credit ($0.16) and put a permanent mark on her record? (but also warn future sellers), And risk a neg feedback from her? Shouls I leave her a neg?
Or should I just give it up?
What do all think?

I leave NEGS and file my FVF's for *all* deadbeats, I don't care what the amount. A deadbeat is a deadbeat. It may only be 16¢ for your auction, but the next unlucky seller may end up losing a lot more than 16¢ from this deadbeat.

Yup, definitely file for FVF. It's not about getting your 16 cents back, it's about taking the appropriate action to make sure that it does go on her record. She's a crummy buyer and should be treated that way.

Ya know, the funniest thing happened. This moring when I looked at her feedback she had 2 neg in the last mo. Now, just a few minutes ago, she suddenly has 5 negs, and is no longer a registered user.
Guess I'm not the only seller to have probs with her huh?
But I am kinda bummed that I don't get to leave feedback. I would have loved to add my $0.02! (Just kidding~I'm too nice for that!)
Problem solved. I'm going for the credit.
Thanks!!!
I sure am making a lot of new friends here! I love it!

Sure, file the FVF and neg them. I negged someone for not paying for a $1 item. I don't like deadbeats, but it's those that deadbeat on small amounts that really get me angry. I can understand if a person won something expensive and later realized that they really can't afford it, but to deadbeat on a $2 or $3 item is ridiculous. I can't understand why someone would risk their reputation for such a small amount.

I agreed with heygrape ; and since his/her post , the reason's right there !
I think most of us use our discretion , and choose to accept a valid or likely reason for late payment ; but " I forgot " 2 or 3 times deserves rightful commeuppance , and I'm glad others were astute enough to send the right heads-up to fellow users. ( and abusers ! )
Now you want your 2 cent's worth too , thanks to others' pluck . I'd say at least a stiff neutral just stating the facts ; and feel good that you've alerted others to a very probable problem.

If you don't neg them it is understandable. Sometimes it's not worth the risk, especially on a low dollar item, But the FVF is ALL IMPORTANT! That goes on their record! ALWAYS DO THE FVF

Definitely worth it. If you file a report, then NEG, then that NEG goes against the three NPB NEGS necessary to NARU the user. Just a NEG without filing the NPB report, does not count for much.

I did the FVF credit request. But am unable to leave a neg. Once they have been given the boot and become unregistered, you can't leave feedback for them anymore.

A deadbeat is a deadbeat no matter what the bid price. I have more deadbeats for low price items than higher price items.
My rule now is to file NPB, FVC, and negative for all deadbeats without worry of retaliation. If they retaliate, it makes them look even more pathetic.

Do you mean the person has already been NARUd?

I think so. (um....what does NARU mean?)
As of first thing this am they were still registered with 2 negs. Then later I went back to post a neg, and couldn't because they were suddenly a non-ristered user with 5 negs.
