hi , i am a regular poster here but i had to sign up a new name to give this information . my source would become obvious if i posted this under my normal name . i prefer that he/she not lose their job by providing me with this info .
FREE LISTING DAY WILL BE WEDNESDAY , DECEMBER 27th
normal listings with no frills will be free .
any featured categories etc... will cost you $$$ . FREE LISTING DAY will start at 3 a.m. eastern standard time on 12-27-00 and end at 3 a.m. eastern standard time on 12-28-00 .

well, if true, that's cool by me. I can maybe while away some down time on Boxing Day to load auctions into goto.com.
I guess if I don't see an announcement for 12/20, I'll go ahead and list a bit because it feels weird to not have anything going...

This might have been bad information, another Free Listing Day that will be announced next week or someones idea of a joke.
Since people rely on this board, I think the Moderator should explore the intent behind this thread being started and review what actions if any should be taken.
While we share a very wide range of opinions and usually don't agree on anything it has not been the pratice, in my opinion, to ever intentionally lie.
At a busy time of the year I think the potential for this kind of misinformation, if it is not correct, to cause people unneeded stress, confusion and lost revenue.
I don't mind people making mistakes, I even did it once myself last Spring, but I would prefer limiting exposuer to anonymous liars to when I choose to read eBay statements.
