I won a bid 3 days ago and have written to the seller in the beginning 3 times. No answer even with a mail this auction to a friend. So I called her, figuring she was a zero feedback seller and might not know how to proceed. She called me back and said she didn't know what to do, so I told her, and also sent her some information to help her out, asking yet again for final costs so I can send her the payment and get this show on the road. 2 more emails from me later, and there is no further contact from her. Now what? This is so weird!

She needs to attend "E-Bay 101"...

If you could at least get her NAME, ADDRESS, WEIGHT of item, you might be able to go online and figure out the Shipping Cost....

http://postcalc.usps.gov/

At this point, you might forget the whole thing, because she might not know how to go about shipping..or worse, PACKING~!....If you do continue, be sure to request INSURANCE!....When I have had new sellers, or have requested something specific, I have filled out the necessary forms, such as Insurance and Return Receipt, and have included them with my payment, asking them to present them at the post office along with parcel...

Only an opinion...

Gosh Shosh!

Wow, this is a tough one! This seller is very lucky to have gotten you as her first buyer, furkidmom. Some other folks might not be willing to go as far out of their way as you have.

In addition to Shoshanah's great suggestions, I'd print out the USPS calculator results & have her take that to the PO counter with her. At least it will contain the basic the information she needs to communicate with the postal clerk.

Is this a fairly expensive item? A small, lightweight item? Something you really, really want? If so, perhaps it would be worth your while to pay to have the item packaged by Mailboxes, Etc. or a similar service. I know it's ridiculously expensive, but it might mean fewer headaches in the end.

Then again, if the item doesn't mean that much to you, I'd try one more phone call to see if there are any other shipping issues you can help this seller through.

If that doesn't work, I'd call the whole thing off.

I applaud your already-demonstrated willingness to help this person.

Yes it is a part of a set of a collection I am trying to complete in the memory of my sister. She had started a set of this and was a victim of domestic abuse, and what she had started is now scattered to the 4 winds. So I wanted to get a complete setting of this item and divide it between her 3 children she left behind, and they also, in turn, can complete their own sets. It would be a living memorial to not only my sister, but their mother. I talked with this seller at great length on the phone, explaining Ebay things, sent her the usps site, what to order for supplies along with the phone number of usps, a copy of my eoa for a guideline, how to list and invited her to look at some of my actions for some ideas. I told herthat it is important to ceck her email a couple of times a day to answer potential bidders question, get her eoas out ina timely manner, allof it. Maybe I scared her off. But I really wanted these items, and sent another email to puuuleeeez give me costs. Now I am afraid if I send a check, I will never get the items. Dammit this makes me mad. I don't even know what to do about feedback on this one. I don't want to put her first transaction a neg, yet I have an obligation to the other people as well who might bid on one of her auctions. She has listed only 2 and the one did not get any bids. Her Title for the no-bid auction was a one word wonder. Something like *potholder* that was it! Glendaaaaaaaa!!! Help!!!!
