People contribute so much to this board and the auction community. But everyone has a success secret or two that's held back! In the Spirit of Giving, do you want to share one? I'll go first.

When buying glass for resale at local auctions, don't over look clear glass or crystal. Often it sells low! Some [most] bidders focus on "Pretty Colored Depression Glass." We have made excellent money on vintage crystal colored pattern glass, over looked cut glass, and even newer crystal...

Happy Holidays!

Treat your customers how you wish to be treated...And be even pickier about your wares than you would be for yourself.

Next?

Don't have a TOA longer than your description. It turns bidders off. Especially refrain from including too many caveats emptor. Remember KISS (keep it simple stupid)!
Have a joyous and peaceful holiday season.

Edited because my fingers don't work well so early in the morning!

Research, research, research. Never list a thing without knowing what it is and when it was made. Always look for other like it already listed and pattern yourself after the successful ones. Yes,it is worth the time.
Any tagged clothing or accessory for dolls of the 1970's or early is wanted by someone~and they are probably searching ebay for it.

One thing that has sold well for me this holiday season has been 1970 and 1980 era cartridge games! I don't know if these always sell well, I came across a lot of them cheaply and the sale on one alone paid for the whole lot plus some!

Joyous Holidays to All!

My gift is the following advice: if you're one to stand in line at the post office, make sure to bring a good book with you! (When you've finished it, you can always list it!) I always do and it's saved me a lot of boredom & stress!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

I sell mostly books. When a book could fit into more than one category, I look at the closed auctions. Which catagories worked, which didn't. Try to figure out why seller A got more money than the exact same item than seller B. Was it the category? Was it the shipping cost? Was it the description? Form of payment? Most of the time, for my items, it seems to be wrong catagories, restrictive TOS and lack of description. I type recipe lists for almost every cookbook I sell. After all, if you were at the store, wouldn't you look at the table of contents?
