at first i heard that it was free for a limited(until the first of the year)now all i can find is it's free.
any ideas? anyone see what the fee is going to be if they start charging?

I do not think it is feasible to pay for the feature. I won't pay for it; that is why I sell on Amazon's Z shops.

I still don't think that they will charge for this.
But if they do, my guess is that it will be the reverse of the way that the reserve fee works.
With reserves, you only pay the reserve fee if the item does not sell. I suspect that with "Buy It Now" you will only pay the fee if the BIN price is used.
That's about the only way that would make sense. Of course, that means that it's probably the opposite of what Ebay will actually do...

Acutually, I just went back and looked, and on the "Sell Your Item" page it definately says that it is free during the holidays, implying that there will be a charge.
However, I noticed something else...
On Ebay's listing page, the various options are in groups -- description, item information, optional features, Billpoint...
But "Buy It Now" is not grouped with optional features. It is grouped with Billpoint. Maybe they will only offer Buy It Now if you offer Billpoint. That way, they basically collect the fees indirectly.
