Sold a LP in early Nov., $7.25 bid and postage, then an email from buyer mid Dec. it was not received. suggested we wait a week an then I would give a full refund.

(An aside, I have an unadvertised full refund or replacement for small dollar items and no need to return damaged or incorrect goods. I don't want to pay to have broken items returned. It disarms the occasional unhappy buyer to have an immediate reply to their email that apoligies, offers whatever they want and asks they keep the original item. I hate wasting enegrgy on unproductive encounters.)

Customer emails that LP is still missing but he is in sales and dosen't want to make it hard on me. How much more would I want for the Cookbook Lot the just closed with no bid? I say $2.00, he PayPals $, I send books last week.

I get a message this morning that the LP has shown up and he mentions that it has a Nov.16th postmark. The nice part was the message was imbeded within a PayPal payment notice as he has sent me another $7.60.

There are some sad excuses for human beings out there and they seem to find us occasionally but most customers are great and if you treat them well they will return it 10 fold in business and acts of kindness.

I recently had an eBay item shipped to a buyer. The item had insurance tracking. She emailed me that it had not arrived. I checked the tracking information on USPS.com and found it had been shipped to a non-existant zip code. I took the problem to our local post office and after a week they told me to file a claim. I waited a few days to file because I was busy and didn't have the heart to tell my buyer the bad news. She wanted the item not the money. Two days later she emailed me that the item arrived safe and undamaged. Great ending!
