How do you get an express mail postage refund? (or for that matter, any PO refund?)

Take your receipt for EXPRESS MAIL to Post Office. They issue refund on the spot. I believe that is the only postage they refund...

I did collect for two Express Mail last year, which missed Xmas by several days

ALso when I check it online this is waht it says:

Your item arrived at CHARLESTON WV 25350 at 7:10 am on December 22 and is scheduled for delivery.
Here is what happened earlier:

It's possible that it has been deliverd, but that the Postal Workers portable scanner hasn't be Uploaded into the USPS system yet.

Ask your post office for a REFUND sheet (I have copies here from last year).. that way you can have it ready before you go to the Post Office next time.....
All that & a Bag of Chips Too!!

Shosh,

Do u have to take it to the PO where you mailed it? I took it to the PO and the clerk told me I had to call the 800# on the slip?

I just realized that the PO didn't make it by their cutoff time of 3PM anyway

You should be able to get the refund at your local post office, but they cannot process it until the package has been delivered and the information is in the computer system. (just did one yesterday)

TC...I do not know about which Post Office you need to go to. Last year, I just took both my receipts (From California to New York) to my regular branch, showed them to Clerk; she checked on her screen: still not delivered, reached in the cash drawer and shelled out nearly 100.00... big, heavy packages..

Don't know why they are having you call the 800 number.
