I had an auction for 2 Sony Playstations ~ guy with a feedback of 3 won them ~ The guy signed up on ebay in late December ~ had already won several Playstations ~ that raised my eyebrows ~ but that had happened to me earlier in December and the guy turned out to be legit ~ so I really did not worry ~ anyway this guy paid by Paypal ~ only the email address was different than his ~ again the alarm went off ~ then I got an email asking me not to insure the package or require a signature............I saw a 3 alarm alert at this point..........I waited 24 hours for the smoke to clear ~ I sat down and sent him an email this afternoon ~ but the email address was no longer valid. I requested the contact info from ebay ~ it did not agree with anything I already had. The phone number was not valid. Before I could contact Paypal ~ I got an email that they were taking the money back out of my account ~ fraud suspected ~. Within minutes Paypal called me by phone ~ they were very nice ~ and relieved to hear that I had not mailed the package. They did say as long as I had followed their requirements I would be reimbursed if I had mailed the package. My point here is this ~ first stay on your toes and listen to your inner voice when the alarm goes off in your head, and second be sure you are following Paypal terms when you choose to accept this form of payment.
