I ordered a CD from Half.com on 11/23. I was not able to report it as missing until 12/23 (which I did). I still have not heard anything about a refund or getting the item.
Does anyone have any experience on how long this process takes? Is there anyone I can contact at Half.com to check the status? (the Report Problem button is gone now that I reported it as missing). Is there any recourse I can take now?

A couple of months ago, I had an item returned that I had sold. It was marked "no such address" or something like that. I had actually cut the address from the half.com notification, so I was sure that I had the address down as correctly as the buyer had entered it. I notified half.com that the item had been returned for bad address and they said they would contact the buyer for a new address. They never heard from the buyer, so they asked me to put the book aside until it came up again - as in a claim against me. I still have the guy's money and his book, now I'm just playing the waiting game.

KatNap---That's odd that you didn't hear from them. I have reported missing items a couple of times (using the "report a problem" button), and almost immediately, usually the same day, an email comes with instructions. I have always gotten complete satisfaction whenever I have had a problem. (I have purchased tons of stuff on half.com and had only a couple bad apples to report.)
In the early days (before ebay), Half com used to list a phone number on their site, but I think it's gone now. I have called before and actually spoken to a human. Try it! 1-888-TRY HALF.

Thank you for your suggestions.
I emailed [email protected] and [email protected]. Got an invalid address for [email protected] but they responded with an automated message from [email protected]. Of course they are backed up and will get to my problem as soon as they have time...
Time will tell, I suppose, if I ever get either a refund or the product.
