and is there a way to find out the total transactions through ebay for the year? all i want to find out is the number of sales.

My ratio is at 74% right now. I've left 378 comments, and received 281 positives, and one neutral. I have a net positive of 272 due to repeat buyers.
I normally leave feedback when I receive payment. I notify via email when I ship, and include the comment "I've left feedback for you, and appreciate feedback from satisfied buyers. This also lets me know that you have received the package safely."
This seems to work pretty good for me. I think 74% is a good percentage. Many of the auctions I don't have feedback from are from Sellers.
Melissa, who is not sure she is selling at all this year.

I do really well with feedback about 81%. I have received 1,054 - includes 8 neutrals from ebays bad old days when positives changed to neutral when people unregistered. And I have left 1,292. I have left feedback for every transaction I've had - have been really lucky that I haven't received any retalitory negatives from the negs I've given. As a seller I, e-mail buyer that package is on it's way and that I have left feedback. I also enclose a note with all my sales thanking buyer for purchasing from me with the line, I have left positive feedback for you. I never ask for feedback from anyone. As buyer I leave it upon receipt of item. I agree most of my non-feedbacks have been from sellers.
