I have an item up that is at $56 with 5 bids and 4+ days left to go. Today this woman (who hasn't even placed a bid yet) asked me to end my auction early for her because she wants it so bad. I am charging $10 shipping for this item. She offered me $70 total (grand total incl. shipping). That's only $4 higher than the current price! Isn't that outrageous?

It sounds like it could be one of the "ebay detectives" trying to bait you into doing what is now against ebay policy. If you had agreed to do this they probably would have just turned you in to safeharbor.

I saw an item on auction that had no bids. I emailed to ask the seller if she'd consider revising it to add a BIN and she wrote back saying she never ends an auction early. I felt like we weren't communicating. As I recall, I put it on watch but forgot to go back and bid...

I always ignore those kind of emails

keziak: I would have felt differently if my item had no bids. I wouldn't have ended it early and sold outside of ebay, but I would have added BIN. But this item already had BIN when the auction started and people started bidding. This is working out better for me though. I underestimated the value I guess!
But this person wanted me to end an auction with 5 bids (made by 4 different bidders). That would be unfair to my 4 other bidders and just plain bad business.
