There was some dicussion a few days ago about using different picture formats to get larger pictures, with good detail and not too large.
I have found a piece of software that I can take a 200K file and bring it down to about 85k without loosing much detail.
The software is called image optimizer,by xat.com
I use the compress image section,I start with the magic compression bringing it down to 90k then I use the jpeg quality button to get it to the 85K.

It is great program. I started using it about 2 years ago, and was promoting its use right here on the Help board.
And they have super support: Once called me in California, FROM ENGLAND, because my JPEG Optimizer was not working (trhat was before they even had the Image Opt.)
Until not long ago, you could buy the JPEG Optimizer and receive the Image Optimizer for free...Then, they reversed it: buy the Image Opt and get the JPEG Opt free. Are they still doing it? Gosh Shosh!
