Why doesn't EBAY have to pay some sort of pro rated refund when thier site crashes?? I spent alot of time planning when my auctions end then Ebay thinks it's fine to just chunk on another day. If I wanted my auctions to close Monday at 2pm that's when I'd post them.
If we aren't getting the full service we pay for, why do we settle for EBAY charging us FULL PRICE. The way they nickle and dime sellers and hobble any effort to make an extra nickle on an auction page I paid for they should understand the power of the penny.
Maybe if they had to refund 374,978,576 pennies once in awhile they would make sure thier servers were up to snuff.

They already refund 100% of all fees for auctions ending during an outage such as on January 4th:
"In accordance with our Extension Policy, all associated fees for auctions scheduled to end during this period will be refunded. This includes Insertion Fees, Optional Insertion Fees (such as Featured and Category Featured), and Final Value Fees."

True, but that was because they couldn't get away with not calling 11 hours a hard outage.
You can bet that if only books are down and not the whole site we are going to lose some money this morning. I imagine it will be fixed shortly after my books go off and will not be considered a hard outage.

I had several auctions end during and within a few hours of the last outage. When do I see my fees refunded? Or do I have to wait 10 days, but not more than 15, and file a "non-functional auction credit request" then wait 10 more days, but not more than 10 1/2, to file an "auction non-functionallity insertion fee and final value credit form".
Geez. I hope Greed-Ebay isn't reading this. It might give them ideas.
