Veripack.com
Gatorpack is good too and they are local to me...that always helps not paying shipping for shipping supplies.

Check your yellow pages. A local source can save you a bundle on shipping charges, especially for boxes.
For bubble wrap, I buy from shippingsupply.com on eBay.
For packing peanuts, Gatorpack.com

Thanks for the info on Gatorpack you guys! I was going to place an order today with Uline for bubble envelopes and checked Gatorpack, placed an order and saved about $20 on a $100 order. That is VERY good. It will take slightly longer as a Uline source is close to us but I can wait when I save that kind of money. Very pleasant transaction and I am certain I'll be happy with the product! THANKS AGAIN!

If I might say something on the negative side of this coin, I purchased tape from a seller on ebay that sells only tape (won't mention names, but easy to figure out) and it is the WORST tape I have ever seen. Was (and still is, I'm sure) advertised as "heavy duty...industrial strength..." NOT! Beware!
Ok, thanks for letting me get that off my chest!
Happy Birthday, Elvis!

I've bought both boxes and bubble mailers from 123pix.com. I've compared prices all over and they were the best. I originally saw them selling on Ebay. They are fast to ship. However, one thing that I don't like is that there is no phone or address on the site. It is a small business. (Alot people will undoubtedly have a problem with that. I always just pay with Mastercard.) I've bought about 10 cases of mailers and boxes from them and have always been pleased. They are 2 states away from me so the shipping charges are resonable.

Yes, check your yellow pages for a local business paper supply store. (Not Staples, or OfficeMax - someplace that caters to businesses).
I can buy styrofoam peanuts for 1/3 the price of what they sell for on eBay ($10 for a huge bag)...and they deliver for free.

Hi, I am fairly new here, but I'd like to put in my 2 cents . I acquired a paper shredder and now I "recycle" newspaper, old magazines and miscellaneous papers to shred and use for packing. It kills to birds with one stone for me...eliminates having to pay the local trash company for removing that stuff and makes a great packing material!

Wow, Kaffro GREAT Idea.
I might try that sometime, if I'm out of "ghost poo"....
The reason I didn't think of that before is that I stopped wadding up paper a long time ago because it weighs more than the packing peanuts, however, if the paper is shredded and then wadded I'll bet it doesn't weigh that much. Definitely worth a try. THANKS AGAIN for the idea.

Check local sources for peanuts, since they are bulky, and shipping them is expensive. I checked gatorpack's price, and $10.00 for 4 cubic feet does not begin to compare to the $11.50 I pay for 14 cubic feet locally, but in fairness, gatorpack has to pay to ship them. Just see if you can get them locally before you order them on-line.
On a related note, uline's box sale runs through the end of January. Basically, you get to buy any quantity of boxes (usually in multiples of 25) at the same per-box price as you would if you bought 1,000 boxes. It's a good deal, and I usually get a year's worth of boxes from them. Luckily, I can pick up my order in NJ and save the shipping cost, but they have other distribution centers in the US, so you may want to check them out at www.uline.com to see if they have a warehouse anywhere near you.

A little helpful hint about using shredded paper. I, too, have a shredder and have done the same thing many times. It works great. However, make sure you have a cross-cut shredder so that the shreddings will be appropriately small and someone can't piece together your important private documents such as with the shreddings of a strip-cut.

I've tried them all (or at least it feels like it) and hands down, gatorpak is the best. Best prices, fastest shipping - and great customer service.

If you're looking for great prices on large quantities of shipping supplies, try Quill.com. You can buy multiple cases of supplies at drastically reduced prices! Quill is the company that most of these other shipping companies supply THEIR stock with! Cut out the middle man and go to the source! I've used Quill for a couple years now and am very satisfied with their service. They have quick delivery, and easy on-line ordering. I hope this info helps all of you.

Just ordered a case of padded envelopes over the weekend and received it today! My first order with them and am I impressed with the level of communication and service.
BTW, I almost didn't consider them after seeing that their case price was a few dollars higher than the competition, but quickly discovered that their shipping charge is less than half of the others I was considering, making the total for my order several dollars less than the others would have charged.

Nothing is better than FREE -
The very best shipping material is both free and readily available - shredded paper stuffed in plastic grocery bags (the kind with the handles). Tie the handles and trap a little air, tape the pads around objects, many pads can be taped together to cover a large object. Wrap small objects in one pad and then tape many small pieces together. You can get shredded paper for the asking at almost any local office, and ask friends and family to save their plastic grocery bags for you. I ship all kinds of stuff both USPS and UPS and have had zero breakage using this method.
