My auctions are getting 10% of the hits they were getting in Oct. & nov. December suffered after the first 10 days or so...the "surfers" & bidders evaporated! (I mostly sell nice, consignment quality clothing.) I can understand the shoppers were out in the stores & not online, but when
will it get better? And has anybody else HAD it with Bluelight.com?

this will make my third jan.online and by far the worst month! in the past jan.was allways the best month of selling online.but just today i had to file 9 npb alerts at ebay and at yahoo only 3 bids out of 192 items.so i'm not sure whats going on.but if they hear recession to much in the news it will slow down buying and selling on the internet.i'm moveing some of my auctions around to new auction sites hopeing to pick up some business elsewhere.to date we have auctions running at ebay, epier, yahoo, and snaprat.com and soon at lycos.i can remember a time when 1 auction site was enough to live on ,but not anymore ;o(

I haven't made the time to get as much listed as I should, but everything is getting bids, a few of them a lot more than I expected! So if it's a slow month, it will be my fault for being slow to list.

November and the first week of December are the best. But last January was pretty hot for me. I think Janauary sales pick up a lot after the 5 or 6th. So the rest of this month should be a great month!

Bidding is very good for me this month. But I will say one thing,I used to sell alot of T-Shirts online and I notice that has fell way off from the last two years. It would seem clothing doesn't like it once did.

I have not been in business as long as most of you have, this is my first January and so far this month has not been very good, I am hoping that next month will be better, I sure hope we are not seeing the future of selling on auction sites end, as I really like the extra money and the nice people I have met through online sales.

So far this has been my best month ever. I am off to do more listing.
Because of the secrecy of my position, I am prevented from knowing what I am doing.

I haven't listed as much this month, and actually only started my listing back up a week ago. After having my first batch end I would say that things look good. I have bids on as much as I did last month. I think more hits than last month from people looking. And selling about 80% of what is listed.
Hang in there and I'm hoping it picks up for you.

My sales have been "off" since at least October, and I've had a record number of extremely slow pays (up to 30 days) and deadbeats this past Christmas season. Part of the sales being off is definitely due to oversaturation in the categories I sell in.
But part of it seems directly related to the U.S. economy. With the stock market unstable, heating and fuel prices soaring, etc., people seem to be holding onto their $$$ instead of spending it on eBay. Had my worst Christmas sales in 3 years on eBay, and January isn't looking much better. I'm starting to panic, as I rely on eBay to help pay my monthly bills.

This is my third January and each time I do very well! I actually look forward to January and February as those months are my best.

Usually, I sell about 90% of my items first time through. October and November were slow for me at about 70%, but I've sold everything I've listed since the beginning of December.
