OK, it's 1am here and I'm still awake. Pondering the sports card situation. Why is it that I put up a GRADED 9 rookie card(which is one down from a perfect card) of MVP runner up Donovan McNabb and get 1 bid at $9.95 and then try to buy a rookie card of 3rd string QB Jarious Jackson, for the Broncos, and get outbid? The card (not graded) sells for over $15.00. Kind of a whine here, but I'm also confused.

Depends on what set each is from, and sometimes with the graded cards, who graded it. PSA, SGC and Beckett will bring higher prices than USA and some other grading companies will.
If the Jarius Jackson card is from the Upper Deck SPx or SP Authentic sets, than those are definitely going to go for higher bids due to the scarcity of the rookies.

The McNabb card was graded with PSA. I now use PCG since they they are 3 times better. Yes, the Jackson card was SPX. It's just that he's a third stringer and will probably never be a starter. I just want it for local interest. I looked around and even the basic cards are selling for around $2.00,
and he's 3rd string!?
