Hi to all. I'm new to Auction watch and computers, so am glad to find a place to learn new things. I have a strange problem and I don't know what I did to cause it or how to fix it. The start menu on my computer used to be on the bottom and now it has jumped over to the right side of the monitor window. Does anyone know how to get it back to the bottom? Thanks.

Put the pointer over a blank area in the taskbar, click down and hold, drag the pointer to the bottom of the screen, and let go.

Thanks so very much!!! It's easy when you know how! I worked away at that for about half an hour looking for settings or instructions. I tried dragging it but didn't know I had to grab it in a blank area on the bar. Thanks again everyone - I really appreciate the help. It was so annoying to have it on the side of the monitor and not know how to put it back on the bottom. It's wonderful to have a place to get answers so quickly.

If you have a windows book which should have come with your computer look up taskbar and it should tell you what to do. It says position the mouse over a blank area on the taskbar. The taskbar is the name of the bar where your start is. Press and hold down the left button as you drag the tasbar to a new location on your screen. The taskbar moves to the new location. You can position this bar in any position, top, sides or bottom. The picture shows the blank area between the start and the clock. If you don't have a windows book may I suggest Windows 98 Simplified. You can buy it at office max.
