I posed this question to the mail person the other day and they didn't have a clue......Can you put the small(since they are the only ones that will fit)priority mail boxes in the blue mail boxes?? I use clickstamponline so all my postage is metered.

I'd say 3 pounds or less.
If your familiar with the boxes the postal service gives you---I'm refering to the large/small video boxes.

Anything over 1 lb, or a certain dimension, you gotta hand it to the Clerk or Postal Worker.

If it is METERED mail (ie: ClickStamp, Stamps.com, or regular meter, etc.) then it IS permissible to drop the packages into a box, leave them on a PO loading dock, etc., regardless of weight. The "one-pound rule" only applies to stamped mail.
I generally leave my stuff on the dock (which is usually unattended) but when I only have a couple of items I drop them in the corner box.

The 1 lb rule does not apply to metered mail -- including Stamps.com, clickstamps, etc. -- because you are a "known mailer."
You can be traced through the bar code on your metered postage.
Yes, you can put small and large video boxes in a mailbox. I do it every day. The small ones fit through the open slot that sticks out on one side, the large ones fit through the hinged & handled slot on the other side of the mailbox.
If they'd just make the slots big enough for those cube #4 priority boxes, I'd be in heaven!
