HI all -

Gosh, what is it, anyway?? Am I getting more savvy about pricing and merchandise? Are there just a lot of buyers? Or what? It's all going so well. I'll put up some auctions and get whiplash from the fast BIN sales. Other things "go the distance" but close at great prices. Even just sold two on Amazon really fast.

I realized that boots are not to be found in stores, so found a pair at Salvation Army for $4, and they sold for $15.50. And they aren't even full boots, just half-boots. [they are nice, though].

I was just as tickled to get an immediate BIN sale for $4 on a fantasy novel that was ex-library, because it really is in worn condition. I didn't have to spend a week to get $2 or something because better copies came up or my buyer got impatient and went to half.com.

Feeling optimistic!

Keziak--I am with you!

I was sorta discouraged last night when I checked my auctions. Few bids. Then I checked today & it jumped more than 50% (OF COURSE auctions end in 2 hrs. last minute bidders RULE!).

Yeah feeling wonderful & up to my auction motivation again & will be listing tons of stuff this week.

YOu think the commercials may have something to do with it???Or probably the COLD weather..Whatever I am thankful!!!
NEW MERCIES each day!

Last Monday I listed 2 items of the same type. One I put on for auction 7 days and 1 had a BIN and the BIN is sold, paid by paypal and the buyer had it Friday. I made what I thought as the maximum for this type of item so I was happy. Just sitting here wondering if the other is going to get a bid. The next same type items are going to be put with BIN. Speaking of BIN why does ebay think they have to charge for this. Isn't it the same work as the auction only listed and sold faster. If they charge for it I hope it isn't much.

I have been really happy with the bidding activity on my ebay items this week too. I'm almost scared, I'm so happy. I guess I'm nervous because when the bidding exceeds what i think it will I start worrying that the winners are going to deadbeat (had that happen with 3 different items on my last go-round) or that they'll get the items & be dis-satisfied. But it sure is nice to have these worries and not the usual "no one is bidding blues"!

Me too, my auctions are getting better! I actually had a few surprises today in the ending hours ~ up until now it seems I've been holding my breath just hoping I get my money back!

you can just tell I'm a newbie from this question...Whats a BIN? Trying to get started selling...have some stuff don't value ...do I put reserve or just leap.? All these messages are so cool...I spend more time reading than working.

I'm stunned that the first half of January has been this good. I'm not complaining.

ree BIN = Buy It Now
I guess I should explain, you have an option on eBay to run an auction or set a BIN price.
The bidder can either bid & wait until the auction ends to see if he wins or he can go for the sellers BIN price. If he goes for the BIN the auction is over & the item is his.
