I get this alot. In fact its gotten to the point that everytime I have a batch of auctions close I expect one or 2 people to be deadbeats. Tonite I was contacted by 2 sellers in my category warning me about a bidder on one of my auctions, this member apparently has won several auctions from these sellers but NO PAY, NO RESPONSE. The selers are scared to leave feedback and are frustrated witht the waiting period it takes to get these losers booted out of Ebay. This bidder is currently bidding on some 30+ auctions. This really sux because so many people are going to get shafted and there isn't uch that can be done. I've taken what information they gave me and forwarded it to Investigations at SafeHarbor but their probably gonna tell me theres nothing they can do. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THIS?? Share your stories....Thanks!

That's exactly what they will tell you. Nothing can be done...Unless you want to use Ebay's extremely STUPID Pre-Approve feature

If one knew WHOM to pre-approve, one would NOT NEED to pre-approve them, cuz they would already have passed the test

I repeat, Ebay: How STUPID can STUPID be?????

Sounds like these auctions haven't even ended yet, and you are already complaining. Geez - if worse comes to worse, just file a NPB request, and move on. At least give them a chance, otherwise be their judge and jury. It's just another part of doing business, don't loose any sleep over it.

"The selers are scared to leave feedback and are frustrated witht the waiting period it takes to get these losers booted out of Ebay."

Maybe if the sellers would leave negative feedback they wouldn't have to waste so much time contacting every seller. It might also speed up the process of getting the status of the problem bidder to NARU. Sellers must accept the responsibility of protecting the eBay community.

I'd hate to think what these people would do if faced with a real crisis...

Yup, the thrust of the problem here is that sellers aren't doing their part by leaving the appropriate negative feedback so everybody down the line gets shafted because of it!

By others not leaving appropriate negative feedback it takes away some of your main recourse against a bad bidder...

If they are unwilling to leave a negative FB, it only takes FOUR NPB requestas followed by FOUR FVF requests and the bidder is history. Tell them to get of their butts and do the paperwork! Each auction can add one NEG, one NPB and one FVF to this person's record.

Ebay can't help them if they are unwilling to help themselves.

Hi, I had a similar situation only I was the one calling other sellers. New bidder bid on a piece of carnival glass. After 3 days, no response to automated WBN, so I sent a friendly e-mail (perhaps you missed it, or are having trouble, here's the info you need yadda yadda. Now I have compuserve and I can't check the status on all e-mail but I can check compuserve and AOL because they're owned by the same company so I was able to see that the e-mail had been opened. I checked his activity and it seemed he went on a two week buying binge. I contacted just four of the previous sellers only 1 received a response and no money yet. After 10 days I filed the NPB, after no response to that in three days I posted the Neg. By then he had one more and a week later I checked and he was NARU'd. We all took action within 2 days period and he was gone.!!
