Here's the story. Buyer paid quickly and supplied us with an address via email. When we get the address via email we transfer that address over to ebud. He sent us "1441" such and such avenue, then we get his payment and din't notice that his return address said "1411" such and such avenue and sent it with the 1441 number. It came back to us as "NO SUCH NUMBER". Postage was $8.90.
So far we haven't heard back from him about the current situation. I may have to pull his contact info because he doesn't seem to be on his computer or something. In any event, I am not sending it back out until I can communicate with the buyer, to make sure we have good information this time.
Should he have to pay the postage again or should we have to? The Post Office will want to be paid again under these circumstances.

If you saved the email with the incorrect number, you could forward that to the bidder and tell him that you mailed the package to the address given & that it was returned. Ask him to verify the address & inform him that to reship will be an additional $8.90 (or whatever it was).
I had a similar situation--my bidder was moving & gave me a new address, but goofed it up & the package came back. He gave me his correct address & I reshipped at my expense to give the guy a break (shipping was only ~$2 & profit on the item covered it).
You could also offer to split the difference if you are so inclined

This is one reason why I insist that bidders email their address. I routinely find transposed digits on zipcodes which I alwys check for Zip + 4.
You can prevent some wayward packages by mapping an address with Yahoo! Maps
I had only one wrong address return thus far.
I had them pay postage again.

I had the same thing happen, and when I contacted the buyer, they apologized for the typo in their email and offered to pay for re-shipping. I didn't even have to ask. Maybe your buyer will do the same.
