I had an auction end that I had stated in the ad "US Sales only". Well, the winning bidder is from Ontario, Canada. I am willing to ship it but, I had a shipping price stated for USA Priority Mail. Does anybody know what the rate is for a one and a half pound box to Canada. Is it much different from our rate?

Bless you! I think you are telling me to mail it "Global Airmail Letter Post". Right? I hate to sound dumb but, the names of the different kinds of "International Mail" on that web site were confusing me. A "Letter Post" to me is a paper in an envelope! I wasn't sure if it could be used for a package or not. Thanks!

They used to call it Small Packet. Now it is Letter Post.
Other than their confusing terminology, mailing to Canada is very straightforward.
All you will need to add to your package is a small green Customs slip to note contents, value (ending price of auction only, no postage costs included) and the fact that it is "merchandise".

Thanks everyone. I think I will be fine now. Maybe I will just accept bidders from everywhere since it is easier to ship than I thought. I really appreciate your help!

For the record, as a Canadian buyer, my experiences haven't shown any significant difference in speed of delivery whether shipped surface, air, or priority. Now those who live in major centres may have better results, but I live in a rural area. So I always ask for the cheapest shipping method.

I'm a seller from Canada. I never use surface mail any more. It took about 3 weeks or more to reach any US destination. Air mail is only marginally more, but people get thier items in about a week. I tell them to expect 5-7 days just incase, but often people tell me it came in 4 days (occasionally 3 days!)
