Hi,

I have no idea why this is happening to me now, but I need some advise.

I don't sell tons of stuff on eBay, but had about 10 auctions end around the 1st of the month and immediately sent out WBN's to all bidders.

Of my 10 winning bidders, SIX simply have not responded to ANY of my WBN and I have now sent THREE. None of them have written me on their own and I haven't received a payment from any of them.

Mid last week, I went to eBay and in order to make sure I could get credit, I filled out the "non paying bidder alert" form and made sure they were all sent those form e-mails from eBay warning them and asking them to contact me.

I also wrote all of them manually (instead of using PAM) on Saturday explaining that I needed to hear something from them.

STILL, not a single response!

I have been selling for a little over a year and have NEVER had a group of buyers just totally ignore my requests for communication and payment. They are all different bidders, some with little feedback, two with a bit of a history. While three have some negative feedback (and some positive) three have spotless records! I can not for the life of me figure out why they would ignore me repeated requests for payment.

I am out of options as to what do to and am very frutrated but have been warned many times to NEVER leave negative feedback because buyers will often leave false negative feedback on your record just to be nasty.

My feedback does not rank in the hundreds, but I have 161 comments and EVERY ONE is positive. I cringe at the thought of one of these bidders throwing negative feedback on my spotless record just because I rightfully did so to them.

I feel I must warn other sellers, but don't know if I want to risk having my feedback record trashed.

In addition, I am not sure how long to wait before doing so. I would hate to put negative feedback on someone's record because they didn't respond just to discover a check show up in my mailbox a week or so later because the buyer was foolish and just didn't feel they needed to respond to me via e-mail.

How would you handle this?

Hi Ryinn,

Unfortunately, I have quite of few non responders at this time also. If I dont receive payment within 15 days, I file with ebay and also send out one more email. Short and simple.

"Hi, I have not yet received payment for XXX. If payment has been sent, please let me know. If you plan on sending payment and it is received within the next 10 days, your item will be sent to you. Please let me know. Otherwise, I will relist item and file for FVF thru ebay".

If I don't hear from the bidder within the next couple of days, I give them a negative, wait my time, and file for my fees. I dont have the energy anymore to sit and play collection agency with non payers. It's just not worth it to me.

Remember: You're not selling on ebay to make friends, you're selling to make money.
Thats what I tell myself as I hit the negative button....

PS........I have never had a retalitory feedback yet. And I give negs to all who dont pay..........

Sounds to me like you've done all you could. Maybe they are not recieving your emails tho? Maybe try contacting them thru Mail this auction to a friend? Its also possible they are tapped out moneywise after the holidays and are just now realising they can't afford the auctions they've won and are ignoring you. Half of my winning bidders in December never responded to my emails either and I wound up having to go the NPB route.

As pumpkinhead so eloquently says: [i]Remember: You're not selling on ebay to make friends, you're selling to make money.

Even if you do receive retaliatory NEGS, many bidders DO read feedback, and can tell a retaliation when they see one; in fact you can respond with "retaliation does not make things right" or something like that.

The only way to do away with these people is to: 1)file NPB report, which you did; 2) follow up with filing for FVF credit, AND 3) NEG them.
Then, when all those steps have been taken, Ebay gives them the boot. Otherwise, without following those steps, none of the negs are going to count toward making these bidders disappear Or at least, it will take much longer...
