Hi, Go to the USPS.GOV site and look for the international rate calculator. You pick the country, add the weight and it'll give you all your options.

The only problem that I have had selling on
Ebay during the last three years was a
winning bid from an australian!
First, be sure that you request an international money order. The bidder that
I was dealing with sent me a check with
"non negotiable" written across it. I never
was able to collect the money.

I have done quite a few australia sales. They seem to be the slowest country in the world for mail besides that it has gone good. What I do is tell the person that next time I go to the post office I will take the package along find out surface and air postage and let them know. Make sure they know whatever they send must be in US funds.

I have several customers in Australia. Shipping can be very slow. On the other hand, I've had surface mail packages to Australia arrive within a week!
Easiest way to get around the currency problem: have your customer pay via BILLPOINT or BidPay.
I always work up two postage quotes for international shipments: Air Mail and Surface. I let the customer choose.
For packages weighing up to four pounds, the most economical are: Global Air Mail Letter Post and Global Economy Letter Post (Surface).
If your package weighs more it will have to go Global Air Mail Parcel Post or Global Economy Parcel Post (Surface).
You also will need to fill out a customs form. Most often, it will be the small, green form. It's a snap to fill out.
Nine weeks for surface mail is NOT unusual for Australia. I've had Air Mail take several weeks if the package is going to a city I've never heard of!

In my terms, I ship to Canada and Europe but absolutely not Australia. Too many deadbeats and the shipping always ends up being way more than what the online calculator says.
I have had items arrive to Europe within 5 days. This is western Europe, not former eastern block.
