I had an auction close earlier today, and before I can send an email to the buyer, I get a Billpoint payment. Which is fine and dandy, but the buyer took it upon herself to decide what the shipping cost will be. She wants her widget sent Priority mail, which as far as she is concerned is only $3.20. I clearly stated in my TOS that Priority Shipping is $3.50. I'll eat the thirty cents, that's no big deal to me. Its not like this happens all the time. It just struck me as a little strange, is all.

You must have put $3.20 in your Billpoint options (settings) when you listed the item. The customer doesn't have the option to change any price, shipping or tax amount when they pay. They can only pay what was previously entered by the Seller.

Last week I purchased a BIN and then used Instant Purchase. I saw the seller wasn't up on the postal rate changes and didn't have insurance included either because the cost was only $3.20. So I sent her an email then sent her a paypal payment for $3.00 to pay for her extra cost.
Funny thing is that I purchased from the seller before. An item among seveal had arrived broken, seller didn't want to deal with insurance so she sent me a paypal for $25.00. Thus all I was doing was giving her back $3.00 of the money she sent me.

Buyers can be so funny. One lady last week shorted me .40 and sent me an apology when she realized her mistake. She had been in a hurry because they were packing for Vegas. Should have told her to put it in the slots for me.

Just had a strange thing happen with billpoint, I bid on an auction that ended on tuesday 1-9-01. I emailed the seller after the auction ended and got no responce. this seller is in canada. On wed. I got an email from billpoint to send payment thru them. I don't belong to billpoint and don't want to. I emailed seller asking for his address to send money order,(his auction stated he accepted them) I got no responce until sunday night.
His email was very nasty and he stated that if I insisted on not using billpoint that if he didn't receive my payment by friday 1-19-01 he would leave me negative feedback. I have a rating of 412 with no negs, the seller has a rating of 16. with the post office closed today what do you think my chances are.
I am really starting to get tired of other ebayers trying to force paypal and billpoint down our throats. sorry just had to vent.
