Not quite sure what to do. Have a customer who meant to 'Buy it Now', but placed the BIN amount in the 'bidding' window by mistake. Now there's a 2nd bidder involved too. I don't feel comfortable closing the auction early ( from stories I've read here on early closing). Listed it this a.m. and have 53 hits. Hers was the 1st bid, and she's asking me if I would close early. I do believe it was a mistake on her part as she emailed ebay right away to try to get it corrected. what now? I feel bad for her.
any suggestions?

I think she learned a valuable lesson and will know how to use BIN next time.
Despite feeling bad for her, I would decline, saying you incur listing fees and there's already another bidder.
Honestly I think eBay has to improve the layout a bit. I've almost made the same mistake myself. Perhaps she could write to suggest@ebay and offer her opinion.

This may not apply to your situation, but I found it interesting...
There's a glitch in eBay Canada where if you
hit the "Buy It Now!" icon at the top of the listing, it takes you to the bottom of the listing, but there is only a place to Bid, but not to Buy.
Last week, I had a bidder from Canada try to use Buy It Now on one of my items 3 times...and 3 times, she had to retract, as the amount was entered as a Bid, and *not* as Buy It Now, and the auction did not end.
Then she tried switching to regular eBay, and the correct area miraculously appeared at the bottom of the listing, and she could click on Buy It Now and have it work.
