Use a camcorder instead of a digital camera. Buy a Snappy from Play Inc, ($80).
Snappy plugs into parallel port and video camera to make photo. I have made SUPERB high resolution photos of jewelry and small items. I already had the camera, so this was a bargin.
can get pictures from live camera feed or off taped video.

But won’t I need a really l-o-n-g parallel cable for vacation pictures?
