Would you call this Art Nouveau, I don’t believe it could be considered Art Deco. I found it with some 40’s & 50’s jewelry, it seemed out of place. What is your opinion?

Maybe it's just my monitor, but I can't tell what it is, let alone if it's Art Nouveau?

Is this a pin? a box? It looks like carved Bakelite from the pics, although I can't make out the design. If it is Bakelite, then it is probably 40's - 50's and way too late for Art Nouveau. Try some more pics and I bet the jewelry experts around here can help more.
