I know a couple of my buyers have traced money orders and received refunds. How did they do this? I have a buyer who mailed her money order 5 weeks ago, it's still not here. Her bank told her they couldn't help her. I feel awful that she's spent this money and can't get her product. Any ideas?

Did she keep her receipt for the MO? If so, she can use it to have a stop on it, get a refund & have a new MO issued.

Her bank told her that they could not help? I think that the bank would only tell her this if she did not have a reciept. If she does not have a reciept, then they can't help her. However, if she does have a reciept, then they can track down the money order to see if anyone cashed it.

The first question is where did she get the money order?
If it was from her bank, they should be able to help her or let her know where to get help.
If it was from the post office, she needs to find her receipt and ask there.
If it was from a convienence store, there should be a phone number on her stub.
Been there and done that. I know MOs are preferred among sellers, but for buyers, they are a pain in the butt if lost, especially since most charge an additional fee to track it down.

Thanks everyone for the quick replies. I assumed for some reason she had her receipt, I thought she mentioned that earlier. But maybe she doesn't and that is why the bank can't do anything. I'll pass the info along to her. If she didn't save her receipt, it is really her fault if she loses money. I'm still disappointed for her though.
