Is this right?
I recently was "snipped" by a bidder for an item and when I went to search on this bidder I realized they were a seller and so selected the seller search and was provided their "history" I THOUGHT!!!!
What is interesting is that this particular item the seller successfully bid on DID NOT SHOW on their history list!! I checked their feedback and found some comments about fast payment, therefore deducing they were items they had bid on, and when I again checked the seller's history these items were not displayed.
Does this mean that as a bidder, anyone can see what I've bid on, whether I succeeded or not, but as a seller there is privacy provided by ebay and what is bid on is kept hidden from general view?

The two lists are separate.
YOu would see the items they BID on by doing a search for their ID as a BIDDER HISTORY and their items they have sold in a search for their SEELLER HISTORY.

Last I knew anyone could search what a seller was bidding on or past items that the seller has sold. I think the "privacy" is the same for bidders and sellers..
Maybe the reason this did not show up is because it was a "private" auction which means bidder's ID's are not made public. ??

Look up the same ID under "Bidder" and you'll see the same info. If you want to see what a user sells look under the seller search, if you want to look a user bids look under the bidder search.

The only users that enjoy extra privacy are some of the international users. On some of them you can't see their bidding history. I'm not sure how eBay justifies a one way street, they can see my history, but I can't see their's.
