We usually sit on the MO till the person writes us and asks about their item. Then we can match up the name and amount. Or if you are only selling a few items it should be relatively easy to match up the amount with whatever you have sold but not shipped. Frustrating, I know, but what can you do?
Good luck!

You are allowed to fill it in and cash it. This is why we are always told to treat MO's as cash. If it's lost and blank, anyone can pick it up and fill anything in.

Well hmmmmm I know who sent it and for what, but it is not filled in! Can I go ahead and sign the purchasers name? Or should I fill it in, send it back for his signature, and wait for it to be returned to me?

Write your name on it and cash it. I have recieved at least 10 that way. I got one with a name on it and the name was scratched out and my name wrote in black marker on top. I took it to the Post Office and they cashed without even saying anything.

I moved to another state recently and didnt have a branch for my bank anywhere. I had to mail in my deposits. Any cash I recived I would by a money order and write it out to myself and mail it in to my bank.
