Hi!

Can someone guide me to where I can find info on wholesale prices for:

1. Signature Makeup (I tried the Italian ebay site and didn't see makeup at all)

2. Zoodles and Cocka Doodles kids clothes and accessories.

Thanks for your help!
Carole

Sure we are all buddies here and share all our sources. First post your credit card information as an act of good faith so we know we can trust you.

hehehe...cut ups one and all.

I went to a gift show. I also picked up the yellow pages and cold called. You would be surprised how much you can learn.

I am still learning.

Good luck!

If the company has a website, look them up and get their contact information. Then call and ask if they have a distributor or sales rep in your area. That person will have the pricing information you need.

You're right...it WAS a stupid question. I've looked everywhere I know to look.

I don't know HOW to research and find this out or I certainly would have done that.

Sorry for taking up your time..I'm embarrassed now...

Carole
who turned 50 yesterday and stupid as well.

Happy Belated Birthday Carole!!! You are not stupid! If you don't ask, you won't know! Misscandle has a great idea...check to see if they have a website and see if that helps!

Good Luck (I am looking for Zoodles too, hear they are a great sell!)

Carole: It wouldn't do you much good if someone answered your question here because 1,000 other people would see the answer too. Then by the time you got your first order, you wouldn't be able to get rid of the stuff because ebay would be flooded with it.

If you are looking for products to sell, go to your favorite store that sells the kind of stuff you think you might like to sell. Most items have the makers name and city on the box or a tag. Do some research and you will find the company. (00-info,1-800-555-NEED, Internet, etc.) A quick call and they will tell you their requirements for a wholesale account. This is how some new stores source their merchandise. Shows are also a very good source. (as mentioned above)

Happy Belated Birthday, Carole. Mine was on Monday. I would divulge my age, but I can't remember that far back.

Researching prices and sources is fun for me, but it didn't come naturally at first. Now, it is like playing detective. Have fun with it. I wish you much success in your business.

Oh Carole,
PLEASE do not feel stupid!
I was cracking up local importers when looking for a particular french comb..oh long story. But you would be surprised when they just chatted away telling who to call. Some laughed, hung up, barked, and one even said, "lady you are doing this the hard way." Well...okay...hehehe..how do I do it right? (I don't have a retail background)

And I got into the gift show on a guest badge, so some of the sellers weren't to excited to part with even a business card.
Then there were great and groovy folk who would chat about their wares with enthusiasm, even though I didn't have anything near their requirements. It's all a learning curve.

I wish you all the best on the Big Birthday!

I'm not sure if you will find anything on these sites, but here are some links to online wholesalers:

http://www.tradeout.com/

http://www.egghead.com/

Good luck in your search.

If you are in a big city you can walk into a small wholesaler for an item you are interested in selling and ask upfront how cheap can you sell this too me for cash and how many cases do I need to buy to get your best price. You can get some surprising deals
but you need to be ready to pay and take them right then to keep any credibility. It helps if you look like you have some bucks from your dress and car. You can always rent the car. Don't bother to try to sell items a big discounter like walmart carries. You have to get something more specialized like golf clubs or bicycle accesories.

Thank you for all taking the time to help me and wish me Happy Birthday.

All of a sudden I have become weepy...and emotional...sigh...perhaps a delay to going officially and totally OVER THE HILL...aarrgghh.

I've just spent a LONG time searching places suggested etc...couldn't find anything..which doesn't surprise me because I usually do NOT find anything when I look.
Then I get frustrated and give up...

I live in a tiny town of 3500 without even a stop light. One of the places in the middle of a blink of an eye when you're driving Interstate 40.

I looked into shows...but I don't QUALIFY to go to them. They have tons of requirements and I don't meet any of them. Even as a guest you have to have a pay stub etc...I was all excited about traveling to one in Dallas...but I don't meet the requirements or know anyone who does.

Tulsa OK is 2 hours away...and OKC is 3 hours away...I'm WILLING to go there..but then I don't know what/where/etc.

My son just moved from Tulsa to Dallas...would even go to Dallas...if I only knew HOW/WHERE to look for outlet/wholesales..or even IF Zoodles and Signature Club A are around there.(They certainly are NOT around here).

I KNOW the info is out there...I just don't know how to find it....this is stressing me out!

Now..ask me a question about California DMV and I can answer that. When I lived in Sacramento I worked there and helped others solve their problems! (Once I got this guy a $500 refund! Seems he was getting the run around and everyone kept telling him to pay more fees. When he called and got me I cleared it up and he was sooooo happy he sent me 2 dozen red roses!).

Contact Home Shopping Network about Signature Club A. I know HSN sells overstock to wholesalers in Florida, where HSN is located. You probably have to be prepared to buy A LOT. You might also have to purchase other make-up/skin care lines sold on HSN, such as Serious Skin Care (which is a very popular line, BTW).

You guys are wonderful!

I've emailed HSN to see what their qualifications are.

Thanks for sharing

I know where to get items below (and I mean way BELOW !) wholesale prices !

I do not bother with shows or wholesale stores, nor do I care to meet anyone's requirements in order for them to deal with me.

I have a proven method of finding out the SOURCE. The SOURCE is where the wholesalers get their items.

It is not that hard to do and I have just begun to really get into it.

However, I will not devuldge my methods here or anywhere else for that matter.

Maybe I will write a guide to my method and sell the guide on ebay. I am pretty sure there is a market for this info.
