Any opinions as to whether bidding will be down during the Super Bowl? As I sell items that mostly appeal to women, I'm hoping that it won't affect my auctions. Sad to say, I didn't think about it when I listed. Oh, well - there's always "relist." Oh, by the way, GO RAVENS!!!

Morning Earthmum. I listed several auctions last sunday afternoon/evening without giving it a thought, ugggg! Oh well, my auctions appeal to female buyers also, kids clothes, home interior, etc.

Hi Julie

I have been chastised by my daughter - football fans are not just males. Surely not EVERYONE will be watching?
Sigh ...

I am posting jewelry lots with BIN hoping a lot of women are like me and could care less about the game.

Well, I guess it might be a good time to buy ... only time will tell. A hopeful scenario: men intent on the game - women feeling neglected - comfort themselves with bidding! I could care less about the game, too; however, I live in the Baltimore region - if you don't care about the Ravens, you're an outcast. Okay, I will watch some of the game - the half-time show! Love Aerosmith!! Oh, okay - GO RAVENS!!!

There's an interesting thought: neglected women, BIN shopping. I hope they're using their significant other's money and not their own. If you're going to be neglected you may as well get someone else to pay for it...

Hmmm - seems like us women are the only ones that didn't consider the consequences of ending our auctions this evening. Go figure! Well, I'm going to let the chips fall where they may and go on a buying spree - with my own funds .

Huh? Oh, okay - GO RAAAAAAVEEEENS!!!

Last year the wife and I went out to dinner at a mexican restaurant and had the whole place to ourselves. If I had a business like that I would just close. They did not make enough to pay for being open.

Can anyone remember what happened to bids last year?

Anyone? Even guys?

Oh, alright - GO RAVENS!!!

Well in my area a bunch of ladies clothing stores are going to be open this afternoon running 75% off of winter merchandise to attract lady shoppers who don't want to watch the Super Bowl. HOWEVER, we just started having a major winter storm here in the midwest, so I bet there will be a lot more online shopping going on.

My bidding actually is doing better! I don't think the Super Bowl has the interest of allot. I'm happy for the Baltimore and Giant fans. They'll get to watch their teams. The party-ers that would celebrate national "It's Sunday Day" would party anyway. I think that this year however, especially on the heels of the Rams last year, is a let down to many football fans. Normally when my team doesn't make it, I watch the rest of the season. This year I could honestly care less. This is just not that intriguing of a game to me. I think that bidding will be exceptionally good, the Super Bowl will be touted as the #1 viewed event in the world as always. If someone compares it to Super Bowls past, it will not be impressive.

The people who deserve to enjoy it are the fans of those teams. Both have had smack talked against them all year long. I hope they enjoy it because they deserve it! I guarantee it doesn't matter to the fans if billions tuned in, or just them. It's their team and the rest are just along for the ride.

I'm cleaning up my auctions and going to Knott's Berry Farm. With my season pass it should be nice and empty for me to screw around. I'm sure the half time score will be on my pager for at least 2 hours while they turn the focus away from football with a pseudo parade/new years/concert as always. The final score will eventually make it's way to my pager with stats.

Here it is right during the game and it's like a morgue with my auctions. They were getting bids before the game but bidding has completely stopped. Didn't even think about it when I listed! Oh well, I've made money anyway so can't complain.

2 very "geeky" items that I have listed got bids today. None of my Barbies did though. Glad I didn't schedule my stuff to end today.

On the other hand, I've been bidding all day!
