The last of my christmas blow-out auctions is still sitting here. Close date was 12/27, I finally got around to sending a "10-day" notice 1/18. Apparently buyer emailed after that to say she'd mailed check 1/7, but I didn't note the date. On 1/27 I filed for NPB, and now she's mad I "sicced" ebay on her rather than sending another email.
So I apologized and explained I have to have the NPB on file for 10 days before I can get a refund. But now I'm like, why am I sorry? It's been a month. Am I supposed to email every week to tell her payment isn't here, or just move on like I did?

In my humble opinion you have gone at least 2 weeks beyond patience. I have the same thing though. Mom's in ICU, buyer has terminal disease, buyer in car wreck. This buyer has run the gamut of excuses. Mine is such a small sale that I really don't care though.

I have found the more time and chances I give bidders the more I get ripped off. I file NPB alert after 10 days. Send notice after 15 days that sale is void in 3 working days if payment is not recieved.
If I haven't recieved payment by then they were never going to pay anyway.
