I have on online bill paying service that I use and used it to pay for my auctions as well. But it is just a regular check like out of your checking account. I liked it because I didn't have to pay postage, or write it etc. But treat it as any other personal check.

The slogan for this service is:
Secure? Of course. It's the Postal Service.
Needless to say, I have to now clean the coffee I spewed all over my keyboard. They are so funny. A comedy writer's dream come true.
Seriously, though, I took a look at the FAQ's and once the payment is in process, the customer can't cancel it. I didn't see anything about chargebacks, so from the seller's point of view, it looks good.

I also use a bill pay service for all of my bills and have used them to pay for auctions. The way it works is the payment service takes the money out of the buyer's checking account before they send a check to the seller. Basically the same process as a money order...except it is much more difficult to put a stop payment on a bill pay check than a money order. There are no worries about the check bouncing. In my opinion, this is absolutely the safest way for a seller to receive a payment.
